Sir Knight Bob McCurdy
Robert “Bob” McCurdy Jr. was born on November 23, 1932, in Baltimore, MD.  He entered into Eternal Life on February 15, 2025.
He was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and a proud U.S. Army veteran. Bob spent many years in sales with National Gypsum, where he was recognized as National Salesman of the Year. In later years, he worked in housing renovation and rental properties. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and had a deep passion for tennis, winning several Tennessee Senior Olympics titles.
Bob was married to Margaret “Peggy” McCurdy for 57 years and was a longtime resident of Bartlett, TN. After a brief illness, he passed away on February 15, 2025.
He is survived by his children: Sharon McCurdy, Pamela Scarbrough (Keith), and Mark McCurdy (Carol), as well as his son-in-law, Chris Syriac. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Robert Syriac (Annie), Meghan Yarbrough(Davis), Sean Hannahan (Ericha), Mara Scarbrough, Natalie Scarbrough, Matthew McCurdy, Caitlin Kelley (William), and Jonathan McCurdy. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Oliver Syriac, Asher and Mason Yarbrough, and Kali Ann Hannahan.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and his daughter, Mary Syriac.
In keeping with his generous spirit, Bob chose to donate his body to the Genesis Foundation to support the critical work of the Medical Education and Research Institute (MERI).
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM February 24th in Saint Ann Catholic Church – 6529 Stage Rd, Bartlett, TN 38134. Mass to follow at 11:00 AM
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul at St. Ann Bartlett in his memory.
