September 16 – Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Memphis, TNSixteen West Tennessee 4th Degree Sir Knights of Columbus were joined by three Sir Knights of Peter Claver in providing an Honor Guard for our Bishop David Talley for the Annual Red Mass.  Mass was concelebrated by Bishop Talley, Bishop Emeritus J. Terry Steib  and  Archbishop Emeritus of Seattle J. Peter Sartain who was the Homilist.

The Red Mass is historically for those associated with the legal system including judges, attorneys, legal assistants, and public officials; however, all were invited. During the Red Mass, Catholics reaffirm their commitment to justice and their faith. The name refers to the red vestments worn by the celebrants to signify the Holy Spirit. Participants pray for wisdom as they endeavor to seek justice.

District Marshalls Tom Spencer and David Zwissler served as CCCs for this event,
