It is with sadness we report the passing of Sir Knight CJ (Carmen John) Burti, 89, who went to be with his Lord, March 30, 2023 in Memphis, TN. Mr. Burti was born in Taylor, PA, August 21st 1933. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a Master Sergeant until his retirement. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and was also very proud of his many years of volunteer work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He was a longtime member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett. Mr. Burti was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his loving wife, Joyce Burti of Memphis, TN; one step son, James Banton of Nashville, TN and one nephew. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 15th 2023, 10:30 – 11 o’clock in the morning, with funeral mass to follow at 11 o’clock at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage road, Bartlett, TN 38134. Mrs. Joyce Burti would like to welcome all attendees to take part in the food and fellowship provided immediately following the service in the churches fellowship hall. The family also requests any donations made in Mr. Burti’s name be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital.  May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen.
