Shown here with his wife “Jo” on his 80th birthday, SK George R. Yohanek, age 95 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on January 10, 2023.

Born November 21, 1927, Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1945, served 26 months in the Pacific followed by two years on recruiting duty. George was recalled to the Marine Corps in 1949 and served two years, training Combat Marines for Korean Duty. George graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, WI., obtained an Associate Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Bachelors and MBA from University of Memphis. Active in the Knights of Columbus, 3rd and 4th Degree, American Legion, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Ann Bartlett Catholic Church and various civic and charitable groups.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juan (Jo) Yohanek
